Privacy
Written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, in plain words. Updated 27 October 2026.
Ordering from the table
When you scan the card on your table, your browser gets a random id so your phone can be told apart from the other phones at your table. It is not linked to you, your number or an account. You may give a first name so your table knows who ordered what; you may skip it.
We keep what the table ordered, when it was accepted, cooked, served and paid, any notes you typed for the kitchen, a review if you leave one, and quiz scores if you play. The bill is kept for as long as the law asks a restaurant to keep its invoices; the name and the random id are deleted with it.
Paying
UPI payments happen inside your own UPI app; we see only the amount and, if you type it, the reference number. Card payments, where offered, are handled by Razorpay under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number.
Wi-Fi, reviews and the web page
The Wi-Fi password is shown on your phone; connecting is between your phone and the router. A review sent through the page goes to the café; writing on Google is your choice and Google's policy. This website is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver the page and to stop abuse. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about a visit, ask for it to be corrected or erased, or complain, by writing to hello@rahulankam.in. Tell us the table and the time, since we hold no names. If we cannot resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
